Celebrate Edmonton's Unique Winter, Foods and Drinks!
Push yourself to a personal best, experience a new sport, or have a good time with friends and family. Silver Skate Festival is home to the Mammoet Winter Triathlon, which challenges all levels of participants to run, skate and ski in Edmonton’s scenic river valley.
Participants can test their endurance by flying solo, or join with family and friends. Teams and families can split the race among team members as they choose and can pass the relay baton as often as they like. Participants are grouped into women's, men's, mixed, and family teams.
All three segments of the triathlon take place inside Hawrelak Park. The run is held on the road around the park, the skating is held on the pond, and skiing through the trees and open parkland. Come cheer on the athletes - or better yet, sign up by February 17th to enjoy the challenge!
