Edmonton's longest running winter festival!
intro
Do you believe in fairies? Well maybe you should, because the frozen air at this year’s Silver Skate is full to the brim of
fairy magic. Fairy Finding returns for it’s second year at the festival to thrill you with more tall tales of the tiny folk and astonish you with some of Fizzlewit’s favorite fantastical friends. Created by internationally acclaimed performer and artist, Rupert Appleyard, Fairy Finding has a unique brand of whimsical wonderment that your family will adore. But be sure to bring your sense of humor, because nothing is more enchanting to a fairy’s ears… than the sound of your laughter.
Hula Hoop Circus is where education meets entertainment by providing colourful performances and circus workshops to schools, fairs, festivals and more. Larger than life and natural kid magnets, catch the magical winter fairies spreading joy and fun throughout the Silver Skate grounds.
Artists: Amanda Syryda and Nina Wosar
Jay Flair is an Edmonton-based award-winning magician (PCAM 2020 close-up first place) whose acts make use of her experiences in life. She'll make you laugh, she'll make you cry; from circus stunts to sleight of hand, her show is full of mind-melting moments that leave the crowd at the edge of their seats!
Our Mission: To provide for the education and enlightenment of Canadians about Canadian winter history, outdoor winter activities, and winter art forms and the promotion of the physical, mental and spiritual health and wellbeing of Canadians particularly during the winter months.
