Edmonton's longest running winter festival!

Jake Ian

January 27, 2021

The long dark winters, frantic harvests and endless gravel roads of northern Alberta have played a huge role in shaping the honest, shady and desperate characters that find their way into Jake Ian’s wonderfully authentic folk songs.  Ian’s deep respect for the working class and obvious soft spot for the underdog makes its way into countless themes of real life, love, heartbreak and persistence. Ian’s critically acclaimed 2021 album, “Everything Has Holes” sees him taking impressive strides as a writer, arranger and producer, melding time honored folk and country music with a modern reckless energy.
