The mission of the Silver Skate festival is to Create Winter Experiences and our Vision is to Celebrate Winter Prairie Life. The Silver Skate Festival welcomes the opportunity to collaborate with a multitude knowledgeable Community Programming partners to entertain our patrons by learning of prairie life in the past, celebrating our now, and building a sustainable future.

Visitors will have a chance to see how members live while operating in winter conditions by stepping inside our tents and learning how we prepare our meals in the frozen tundra of northern Canada.

Alberta Milk’s pop-up activation is coming to the Silver Skate Festival for a limited time! From February 18th - 20th, come by their lounge space to enjoy a FREE cup hot chocolate milk, made from 100% Canadian dairy.

Looking to challenge your loved ones and fellow festival attendees? Alberta Milk’s lounge also offers a life-size game of Connect 4, where you can play for the chance to win prizes!

Frisbee Rob

“Frisbee Rob” McLeod is a motivational speaker and frisbee ambassador living in Calgary, Alberta. His favourite ice surface in Edmonton is Hawrelak Park, where he has broken 6 Guinness World Records, and 12 WFDF World Records multiple times since the 2013 Silver Skate Festival.
